Insulated Loft Storage Boards
Some people store ‘stuff’ in the loft. This can be a problem when the loft timbers are either 100 or 150mm thick, as the recommended thickness for natural insulations is 250mm thick (270mm for conventional insulations).
Our insulated loft storage boards are 1200mm long x 500mm wide x 100mm thick (2 sheets of 50mm thick) and are made from high density extruded polystyrene. If you put a 100mm or 150mm layer of natural insulations between the loft timbers and a 100mm thick loft storage board above, you will achieve a ‘U’ value of 0.16 which is the minimum required for Home Information Packs and Building Regulations – and you will still be able to store your ‘stuff’! Pack Size 1 covers 0.6m2 - 1200 x 500 x 100mm thick (2 x 50mm thick boards) £26.00 including delivery and VAT Pack Size 2 covers 1.2m2 - 1200 x 500 x 100mm thick (4 x 50mm thick boards) £39.00 including delivery and VAT Although ideal for storage, these boards are not suitable for walking on. However you could fix a layer of chipboard on top the loft storage boards. |
